About me

As humans, it is our instinct to seek connection. Connecting with others can be especially challenging if you've suffered from trauma, loss, and abuse. These deeply painful, often early developmental wounds can resurface in our day-to-day lives, leaving us to experience anxiety, depression, relationship strain, and career challenges, just to name a few.

The isolation, loneliness, and vulnerability that can accompany these challenges are something I am highly attuned to and deeply empathetic toward. My theoretical background includes psychodynamic psychotherapy, supported by a Certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from the Metropolitan Institute for Training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. I have worked in a variety of outpatient mental health settings. My approach is individualized and based on your needs, with a warm and engaging style.

Additionally, I have 15+ years experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and Autism. I strive to create a consistence presence and steady presence, while remaining attuned to sensory and emotional states. I understand the deep challenges -- logistical, emotional and psychological -- that families of those with intellectual disabilities and Autism face. I support reflection, help to process grief and work to understand the short and long terms needs of the family system.

I hold a Master's in Social Work from City University of New York, Lehman College, and a Bachelor's degree from the State University of New York, Buffalo. My aim is to help you understand your unique, innate strengths while exploring the barriers that might be holding you back from connecting with others and yourself. We are our own best healers. I am humbled to provide space, support, and guidance on your healing journey.
