About me

***Currently have chat (like texting) openings*** Open minded and non judgmental therapist with a safe place. Experienced with alternative lifestyles, unique situations and welcoming to all individuals. I use an eclectic approach to therapy as one size does not fit all. Counseling is a place to work toward a better and more fulfilling life, where goals are attained, communication is improved and relationships are strengthened.

I have over seventeen years experience helping professionals, parents, young adults, minorities, people involved in the criminal justice system, those with substance use issues and other addictions, and individuals experiencing trauma, natural or manmade disasters and homelessness. With a particular interest in sexual dysfunction and intimate relationship problems, I will accept you as you are, with unconditional positive regard.

Together we will work as a team partnership to establish goals and the steps to help attain those dreams.

I offer messaging, live chat or live phone sessions, typically between the hours of 8pm and 11pm central time, Monday through Friday and 12pm to 5pm on Saturday. You may expect me to respond to any messages as soon as possible each day.

Amie is wonderful, she really helped me come out of my comfort zone especially with socializing and dating, and I've grown so much in my time with her - can't thank her enough!

Written on Dec 01, 2023 after therapy with Amie for 9 months on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, intimacy-related issues, self esteem, career difficulties, coping with life changes, and compassion fatigue

Amie has helped me on so many issues over the last few years. She helped me get through covid and having someone to talk to about tough subjects during that time was invaluable. She is always accommodating to my needs of appointment times and our sessions are often light and fun. I can't recommend Amie more highly.

Amie is the best! I’ve been her client for over a year, and I would recommend her to my friends if it wasn’t a conflict of interest. She is well-informed, knows the best practices, has a sense of humor, and so compassionate. She’s a treasure!!
