About me

I am a professional counselor licensed in Connecticut with over 15 years of experience. I have worked with individuals who have dealt with a wide range of concerns such as low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and problems with communication. I have also worked with individuals who have experienced trauma. I believe that building a therapeutic relationship based on trust and effective communication is key to successful treatment. I work with individuals to promote self-reflection to process their past and to define their present and future. I want to encourage growth within a healthy and safe environment. I currently only offer live sessions between the hours of 10a-2:30pm Mon, Tue, Thurs.

I work with individuals using a variety of treatment approaches including cognitive-behavioral, client centered, and expressive therapies. It is important to meet each client where they are at and I will tailor this experience to fit your needs. I believe I am a good listener and I value the importance of taking time to get to know someone. I want to give individuals a place to be authentic without the fear of judgement.

I want you to have a positive experience in therapy as I know it is not always easy to take the first step. If you are ready to work towards a brighter future then I am here to help. I look forward to working with you.

I love that Amy gives work sheets as well as chat and video option. She is very in-depth and the multiple options she provides give an opportunity to self reflect, which I find personally very helpful. She takes the time to understand your background and concerns, as well as explaining her background and methods as soon as she matches with you. I really enjoyed working with Amy.
