Welcome! I'm so glad you're here.
My name is Amy and I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor in Vermont and New Hampshire and am a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania. I have over six years of experience providing individual counseling and over 15 years working in the mental health field. Through my diverse experiences, I have worked with people challenged by anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, substance use, relationship issues, and difficult life transitions. I believe that together we can develop a plan that works for you, identify strategies and skills to get you there, and the confidence to keep it going long after.
My therapeutic work is informed by evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavior therapies. These types of focuses offer you practical ways to manage uncomfortable thoughts and painful emotions. When needed, I also utilize Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Acceptance and Commitment therapy to enhance your skills and insight.
I approach clients with sensitivity and compassion, in a non-judgmental environment that allows you the space and safety you need to explore, be honest, and heal. In our work together, we will collaborate and actively pursue your goals to get you moving toward the life you want to live! I look forward to working with you.

Amy has been incredible. She listens closely, and even takes notes as I have found she is drawing my thoughts and feelings to experiences I've told her about previously. She is kind and supportive, and extremely empowering. She asks me questions that make me really think and dig deep. Best of all, she is so helpful in helping me create a path forward. I often get stuck in hard times, and she is there to listen and offer understanding, by not just being a safe place to speak, but helps create attainable... manageable goals that dont feel like homework. She also sends journaling topics, articles, etc each week to stay connected and engaged. And on top of that, she responds SO quickly. I couldnt give a higher recommendation.

I would recommend her to anyone. She listens, she understands, and she helps you understand why you feel the way you do. I cannot imagine what my life would be without Amy. She is truly amazing.

Having Amy as my therapist is such a blessing. Scheduling with her is very easy. She provides a set of resources throught the week so that I can be as engaged in my treatment as I want, and is very supportive. She has a lot of good professional experience and a strong basis in theory.

This was my first try attempting therapy, so I was a little nervous and didn’t know what expect. Amy was beyond amazing and supportive, she made me feel very comfortable opening up as I felt more comfortable. She was so polite, and made me understand how to cope with the issues I came to her with. I would definitely recommend Amy to anyone whose thinking about starting therapy, very helpful and made me look at things differently!

Amy is absolutely fantastic. She provided excellent support and positive feedback as well as gentle guidance and motivation to do my best but also forgive myself when I am not feeling 100%. I look forward to every session and I couldn’t be happier with the therapeutic relationship we have developed. She is always reliable when I am in crisis mode, too!
