Angel Abney, LPCC
About me
I am licensed professional clinical counselor in Kentucky, I have provided direct therapy for 3 years, but worked in the mental health field for 6+ years. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, substance use, grief & loss, trauma, and ADHD.
I believe therapy is not a one size fits all. My style of counseling is very direct but in a compassionate and empathetic way. I challenge my clients because I want them to be healthier and grow! I especially work to help my clients gain motivation, self esteem, and confidence as it affects any and all walks of life. My approach is a combo of cognitive behavior, dialectical behavioral, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling, healthier, and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process. I look forward to meeting you!

Angel is great, I feel heard and supported but she also challenges me and my way of thinking so I am bettering myself.
