Hi, my name is Angela Wilson Gardner. Before telling you more about me, let me commend you for taking this courageous step in seeking support through therapy as an avenue towards a healthier lifestyle.
I have 9 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and over 20 years of experience working therapeutically with children, youth, adults, and families. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from East Carolina University in 2006 and Bachelor of Human Development and Family Studies degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1996. I have a genuine spirit and have always known helping others is just as much my personal goal as well as my professional “calling”.
I recognize that seeking counseling is not an easy decision. It is my intention to provide clients with a judgement free space. At times it may be challenging but my purpose is to provide a feeling of comfort, which results in an informative and reflective process. As therapy can be intimidating for some, I try to provide clients with initial processes that will assist in building our therapeutic relationship. I recognize that sharing feelings and past experiences may make a client uncomfortable, sad, angry, overjoyed or embarrassed. All of those are not easy feelings to share, but I assure you these are certain elements that are a part of the process and helps personal growth. I encourage clients to be themselves each session and to express emotions and thoughts freely. As I mentioned, my job is to provide a judgement free space. I would be honored to walk this journey with you.

Angela has been everything I ever needed from therapy, and I couldn’t recommend her more. She is easy to talk to, kind, and gives the best advice.
My first time trying therapy and I lucked out. She listens, never judges, is supportive, offers solutions. Just all round a good therapist.
Angela has been amazing and very understanding. I felt really at ease talking to her. I didn’t feel judged. She has a great inspiring personality and I felt extremely positive after talking to her.
Thank you Angela
Angela is a great counsellor who is kind, patient and understanding. She also challenges me to be my best self, for example by encouraging me to advocate for myself and vocalise my needs. She makes me feel like I deserve the best and that I deserve to take time for self care. I am very grateful to have been matched with Angela and would recommend her in a heartbeat.
Angela has provided a safe, nonjudgmental atmosphere that has allowed me to feel totally comfortable sharing deeply personal information. Her expertise, compassion and grit have helped me to make tremendous progress toward my mental health goals.
