About me

Hello! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Indiana. I obtained my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grace College. I have over 9 years of experience in the mental health
field with 6 years as a counselor. Outside of work, I enjoy time with family and friends, reading, going for walks, and drinking coffee.

I enjoy working with young adults, adults, couples, and groups. I have experience with depression, anxiety, stress and anger management, addiction, relationship issues, parenting issues, trauma, self-esteem issues, and other concerns that often come along with these struggles. Furthermore, I facilitated an addiction group for two and a half years at the community mental health agency I worked at before BetterHelp. I have training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy (levels one and two) and Hypnotherapy.

My approach to counseling is tailored to the client. I employ empathy, active listening, and reflection in order to build a relationship with you and gain a better understanding of your strengths and areas of growth and struggle. I most often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). The first approach explores the connection between thoughts, feelings and behaviors. The second approach helps you stop fighting against negative thoughts and feelings, and learn to move towards your values and offer yourself acceptance and understanding. The third approach helps you improve coping strategies, interpersonal skills, and mindfulness.

Now that you have taken the courageous step to reach out for help, I believe that you and I can start working on change and healing. Together, we will work on building a positive view of self, a healthy approach to coping and interacting, and confidence to continue the work on your own when you decide you are ready.

Angela has amazing insight and clarity. She has helped me through some very trying times. She is professional and has a calming effect. I want to be like Angela when I grow up. (Wait I’m already grown up, but you know what I mean!) :)

She always has science backed information, which I appreciate a lot. She has experience with parenting counseling and has also exposed me to a lot of information.

Angela has been a blessing. I was at the lowest point in my life. I reached out abd matched with her. I was hesitant about therapy. I thought I was to far to be helped. I was hopeless. After the first meeting I walked away thinking thus might work. Angela has a way to show really great support, break down scenarios and gives multiple great ideas on ways to work through stuff. I finally feel like im on a path to healing. When I wanted to give up on myself, Angela wouldn't let me. And she never gave up on me either. Knowing you have someone in your corner through whatever you're going through, makes you feel that much more supported and stronger. When I felt a messy and my life felt messy, Angela reassured me I was on a path to healing, that the life I want is attainable and well were all a little messy. She's amazing!
