Hello! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Indiana. I obtained my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grace College. I have over seven years of experience in the mental health field with over four years as a counselor. When I’m not counseling, you will find me hanging out with my husband and dog, enjoying a good book, or walking outside.
I enjoy working with young adults, adults, couples, and groups. I have experience with depression, anxiety, stress and anger management, addiction, relationship issues, parenting issues, trauma, self-esteem issues, and other concerns that often come along with these struggles. Furthermore, I facilitated an addiction group for two and a half years at the community mental health agency I worked at before BetterHelp. I have training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy (levels one and two) and Hypnotherapy.
My approach to counseling is tailored to the client. I employ empathy, active listening, and reflection in order to build a relationship with you and gain a better understanding of your strengths and areas of growth and struggle. I most often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). The first approach explores the connection between thoughts, feelings and behaviors. The second approach helps you stop fighting against negative thoughts and feelings, and instead learn to move towards your values and offer yourself acceptance and understanding. The third approach helps you improve coping strategies, interpersonal skills, and mindfulness.
Now that you have taken the courageous step to reach out for help, I believe that you and I can start working on change and healing. Together, we will work on building a positive view of self, a healthy approach to coping and interacting, and confidence to continue the work on your own when you decide you are ready.

During yet another crucial transition in my life. It is very important for me to have people in my life to help me process. So I thank Mrs. Weaver for her time to listen to my issues. And I felt no shame or guilt for it and was met with understanding.
I trust her and would recommend anyone I know to speak with her.
Helpful, understanding, always there ans checks in often
Working with Angela has been great. I feel listened to and valued and have truly seen a change in my thought patterns and the ways I talk to others and myself.
Angela is awesome- she’s somehow a perfect combination of friendly and professional. I feel totally comfortable sharing anything and I really look forward to our sessions.
Angela is a compassionate, intuitive, and thoughtful counselor. In just one session, she was able to help me hone in on some of the specific areas of conflict I have been experiencing, and helped me make sense of them. Armed with that awareness, I was able to address the issues more effectively in my day-to-day life. I am so grateful for her help, and I would highly recommend Angela to anyone seeking a counselor!
She’s very good on her field! I recommend her on other clients as well
Angela goes above and beyond for me. She reaches out in between sessions to check in and also responds to my messages when I'm just having a bad day. I feel like I m learning so much and I'm using the tools she's giving me. She listens and is genuine. Therapy is hard. But Angela's made it easier for me and she's creates a safe place where I can just be and not feel judged.
Angela is quick to respond to messages, has taken the time to understand my needs, reviewed documents I have shared with her to better understand my behaviors and where I can improve on.
