Hi, my name is Angie and I'm a licensed professional counselor with 25 years of experience in the field of psychology. I currently practice in the State of Texas but I am originally from Michigan. That was where I started out working in a residential treatment facility with children and adolescents. After that I worked in partial hospitalization program for adults, a domestic violence shelter and a community mental health center. I relocated to Texas 10 years ago and have had the opportunity to work in an adolescent partial hospitalization program, an Employee Assistance Program and currently I have a private practice. I have worked with children as young a 5 and adults in their 80's, doing individual, couples and family therapy.
I am empathetic and compassionate, believing that this is your journey and I am here to assist you as a partner. Therefore, I am first and foremost a person-center, solution-focused counselor. I received training in Cognitive Behavioral therapy by the Beck Institute and have additional training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy but believe in an eclectic approach to treatment using Psychotherapy, Existentialism and a Humanistic approach. My specializations are trauma, depression, anxiety and eating disorders.
I look forward to meeting and assisting you on your journey. Remember: the past is a place of reference, not residence. Let's look to the future together and find a path that will lead us to achieving your goals.

Angie has been a n absolutely amazing person to work with and a life saver
Angie helped me a ton with my self-confidence in my personal life and my professional life. I was incredibly stressed with everything I had in my life and she helped me sort through it and build skills to reduce my stress. I have significant anxiety towards transitions and change and she helped me talk through this anxiety and find intrinsic and extrinsic strategies to reduce this anxiety and help me move through transitions with more ease. Angie was always friendly and welcoming, and super supportive. I feel much more capable thanks to Angie.
Angie is very patient, and takes the time to understand my specific needs so that she can help the best she can.
Listens and helps. Offers wisdom and is dedicated to help you work through the issues at hand. Highly recommend Angie!
I'm thankful for having Angie as my counselor. She has helped me a tremendously with my depression in just a few sessions. I will be forever grateful for her!
I absolutely love her! 10/10 would recommend. She’s great for mothers feeling overwhelmed!
With this being my first experience with therapy, Angie has been a tremendous amount of help. I'm so glad I finally decided to start therapy and I am so grateful for Angie.
Angie draws from a breadth of experience. She is welcoming, thoughtful, compassionate and helpful! Each week I looked forward to our calls and she helped me find peace within myself and with family issues. I would recommend to anyone!
Angie is responsive, and professional. She really listens and always offer sound suggestions.
Angie is a great listener, empathetic and her experience carries a gentle wisdom. Angie helped me sort out a very difficult problem that had stunted my work and personal life in our first session. I look forward to our next appointment!!
Always does a useful job.
Angie is great at listening and quickly sharing tools that help me change my areas of struggle.
I have been through so many therapists (I can't even count), but I finally found someone who I can connect and who I feel like understands what I am going through. I can't say enough good things about my counselor, Angie, and recommend her to anyone and everyone.
Angie has really helped me to look at things in a new way. Having had a lot of therapy (and ineffective therapists) Angie has been a breath of fresh air.
I'm finally comfortable with a therapist! I look forward to our talks.
Angie is very understanding, kind, and experienced. For some reason, so far, I enjoy her answers over chat more than via video session. We haven't spoken very much though. We've only had 1 video session. I like her, but I wish she'd give me more techniques and practical ways to deal with what's going on with me before the session ended. I know other people don't like "HW," but I sure do.
She is very kind and understanding.
Angie is a very warm, caring person, and that really comes through in conversations with her. It's what drew me to her in the first place, when choosing my new counselor, and it's been a huge help in opening up to her in therapy.
