About me

As a therapist and social activist, I have a passion for supporting other world changers in being able to care for themselves while they do the hard work of making the world a better place. I have spent my career in the trenches of community and social activism. I have a passion for helping others and personally experienced the emotional toll this work can have on your personal life. As a person of faith, my work is grounded in my own spirituality but I also realize this does not safeguard us from compassion fatigue. I can help my clients to navigate the stresses of life to find ways to connect to natural and community based supports. My goal is to help my clients to embrace their sense of call to their vocation, while also learning to balance other parts of their lives with outlets for joy and creativity in order to combat stress, depression and anxiety.

Anita is amazing at making space for me to express the full range of my emotions. She helped me work through complex anger and grief I've felt towards my family, and I'm so grateful for her validation and encouragement in that process. I'm ending 2022 in a better place than I was before.

I have been speaking with Anita for two years and I am so grateful for her support and guidance. When we end our calls I always feel like I have learnt something new or have been empowered in a new way. I would very strongly recommend her - she’s in your corner.

Rev. Adams has been I believe a literal God send to me. She has helped me to go within and understand myself and my perception of myself, family members and people in general. She is professional but above all supportive, calm, gentle and kind.

She is available and answers promptly. She understands and listens even when sometimes I ramble or it’s the same problem over and over again. Many times it’s about working on one self and everyone else waiting until you are ready.
