Ann Bevan, LCSW
About me
Hello and welcome! My name is Ann Bevan and I am a licensed clinical social worker here in Louisiana. Since completing a Master's Degree- an MSW- at Tulane in the early 1990's, I worked in a number of different hospitals and clinics providing care and support to medical patients. More recently I have become interested in human development and trauma, leading me to pursue training in the Flash Technique and Internal Family Systems.
The Flash Technique is a relatively quick way to decrease problematic symptoms caused by painful events or memories. It can also assist with phobias.
Difficulties with anxiety and depression can be helped with Focusing, TIST, or Internal Family Systems. Often these modalities take a look at how these symptoms might be experienced in the body. Just by locating a sensation in the body, the symptom can be lessened.
For those interested in psychological and spiritual growth, I would direct you to the Enneagram to learn your personality type, its gifts and its challenges or to Internal Family Systems which addresses the various voices inside. We are very complex creatures, more complicated than meets the eye. If you just want a taste or are a serious seeker, I will be happy to help.
Congratulations for reaching out. Should you decide to make an appointment, it will be a privilege to accompany you on your journey.
