About me
Hello! Thank you for considering me to support you. Let me tell you a bit about me and you can ask me any questions later as well. I am a licensed clinical social worker in Kentucky with over 15 years of experience working as a therapist. I have a lot of different work experiences that allow me to be able to adjust to most different personality types. I have worked as an intensive in home therapist, at a community mental health agency, at a college counseling center and at a rape crisis and domestic violence center. I have worked with people with a wide range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, sexual orientation, eating/body image, self esteem, and self injury. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I am person centered and strengths focused, meaning I am adaptable to working with a treatment approach that is comfortable for you and start with your strengths and what you already having going right in your life. I am good at finding a pace that works for you. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and dialectical-behavioral counseling. I will adapt our work to meet your unique and specific needs.
I look forward to working with you and I appreciate you trusting me in this important work.
