About me

Hello! My name is Anna Coward and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of South Carolina. I have worked as a school counselor for 8 years and have experience with a wide range of challenges including depression, anxiety, trauma and relationship issues. I also have experience in child abuse and neglect, sexual assault, and domestic violence.

My counseling style focuses on bringing a positive, non judgmental and laid back energy to the relationship. It can be uncomfortable to start counseling! I believe that taking time to establish a good relationship is essential to feeling comfortable enough to open up about the challenges that you are experiencing. I know how difficult it can be to reach out for help and I commend you for taking the first steps! The theories that I draw from are solution-focused, client centered, and cognitive behavioral.

I'm happy to answer any questions you may have.

Thanks for considering me to be a part of your journey!

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Anna Coward. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I was ready to start therapy again after almost 10 years without a therapist. I knew I needed to work through my childhood trauma, so I could free myself of it eventually.

I let myself get to such a low point that my biological mother and step mother had to set up my Better Help account for me and answer the questions with very little info about what was going on in my personal/social life, which is primarily online. The way they answered the questions, I got matched with Anna.

She was completely understanding that it was my mothers who set the account up for me. And I believe she saw how ready I was to talk things through with someone before our first session even started.

She has been nothing but respectful and supportive with everything I've said to her. Even with my ADHD rambling brain dumps. I believe she was the perfect match and is a great therapist for me.

I still have only had a few sessions with her but I believe I can stick with her to help me work through my trauma I've experienced throughout my whole life. Thank you, Anna! :) <3
