Annie Mattox, LCSW
About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 5 years of experience providing therapy services and over 10 years of experience working in the mental health field. I use a person-centered, stengths-based approach to therapy that will be tailored to fit your unique treatment needs.
I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started.
I have experience in helping clients with trauma and abuse, coping with grief and loss, anxiety, depression, & navigating life changes. My treatment style is eclectic and individualized; built on a foundation of cognitive behavioral therapy, I incorporate pieces from multiple Western treatment modalities, Eastern medicine techniques, and Indigenous healing practices to sculpt a treatment framework that best addresses the needs of each client.
Therapy is a deeply personal experience and I believe that the client and provider need to be a good fit and work together as a team for the best treatment results.
I look forward to meeting you and being a part of your mental health journey. :)
Scheduling Note: I am currently offering sessions on evenings after 6pm Pacific time and am open to discussing weekend scheduling if needed. :)

I really like Annie. She is the first therapist that understood me from day one. No other therapist understood me the way she does. She is kind and tries to reassure me. I am a hard one so I am not reassured easily but I do see and appreciate her tries.

Annie provides a comfortable space for me to share and I felt comfortable sharing early on in our sessions. I feel like we are making a lot of progress that is helping me understand myself.

Annie is great and is helping me with a bunch of different things I have going on. She was worried about my concerns and I didn't feel like I was on a time clock and had to wrap it up when my time was up. She had me finish what I was saying and she reflected on it even though I was longer then my time slot. Makes me feel like she truly cares about my well being. Thank you Annie you are great!

I struggle with opening up about my issues and I was concerned that therapy would be difficult for me because of this, but Annie was very welcoming and I quickly became comfortable with my therapist! She relates my struggles with her own experiences and provides a tailored step by step therapeutic process with tools to help me through my issues. I highly recommend her!

From the very first session, Annie was incredibly easy to open up to. She is relatable, understands my emotions and experiences, and can empathize/connect to my story in a way that I haven't been able to manage with other resources. Her personalized approach and authenticity in practice really speak to me and have helped me feel seen, heard and understood as an individual. Her insights and recommendations have been invaluable on my healing journey, and I'm so grateful to have found this connection.
