About me

***Let me start with a disclaimer for your information. I have multiple chronic health conditions that I manage. I do my best to support myself and reduce the occurrences of these symptoms in my life and practice, however, flare-ups do happen. In the event that I need to cancel your session due to my physical health, I will always do my best to offer you an alternative session within the same week, including creating special appointments on the weekend to ensure that we still have an opportunity to meet. Please feel free to ask any questions. I use my personal experiences to help inform my practice and to augment my professional practice. Thank you :) ***

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 4 years of experience providing therapy services and over 10 years of experience working in the mental health field. I use a person-centered, stengths-based approach to therapy that will be tailored to fit your unique treatment needs.

I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started.

I have experience in helping clients with trauma and abuse, coping with grief and loss, anxiety, depression, & navigating life changes. My treatment style is eclectic and individualized; built on a foundation of cognitive behavioral therapy, I incorporate pieces from multiple Western treatment modalities, Eastern medicine techniques, and Indigenous healing practices to sculpt a treatment framework that best addresses the needs of each client.

Therapy is a deeply personal experience and I believe that the client and provider need to be a good fit and work together as a team for the best treatment results.

I look forward to meeting you and being a part of your mental health journey. :)

Scheduling Note: I am currently offering sessions on evenings after 6pm Pacific time and am open to discussing weekend scheduling if needed. :)

I struggle with opening up about my issues and I was concerned that therapy would be difficult for me because of this, but Annie was very welcoming and I quickly became comfortable with my therapist! She relates my struggles with her own experiences and provides a tailored step by step therapeutic process with tools to help me through my issues. I highly recommend her!

From the very first session, Annie was incredibly easy to open up to. She is relatable, understands my emotions and experiences, and can empathize/connect to my story in a way that I haven't been able to manage with other resources. Her personalized approach and authenticity in practice really speak to me and have helped me feel seen, heard and understood as an individual. Her insights and recommendations have been invaluable on my healing journey, and I'm so grateful to have found this connection.

Annie is a compassionate, driven, and thoughtful therapist who truly cares about your well-being and mental health. She is great at giving actionable advice as well as consoling you when you need it. She's not afraid to drop the hard truths on you (in a kind and loving way). She's also neuro-affirming and LGBTQ+-affirming, which has been very important to me, personally. She's truly helped me and I look forward to our continued sessions together.
