About Me
I have been a licensed Mental Health Counselor providing care to individuals and families for five years. I started my career working in county jail, working with offenders. After the County Jail, I took a job managing a court-ordered residential treatment center for addiction in Colorado. Although I have a strong passion for working with offenders to reintegrate back into society, my career took another path three years ago. I found a passion working with the LGBTQ+ community, children, teens, couples, and families as they overcome daily struggles in their life. Over the past three years, I have worked with individuals suffering from mental health issues, reuniting families after separations, parent coaching, and marital counseling. There is no greater joy than assisting clients in finding their strengths and ways to use their strengths to overcome life obstacles by creating a new narrative.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for April Dalby. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
During the first session, April had helped me more than years of other therapists. April's approach to my therapy really helped me open up and start to pinpoint the things we need to work on.
We have been working together for about 2 months now and she has a vast amount of knowledge and resources available . I never feel like I'm being judged during our sessions and look forward to the worksheets she send out to supplement her sessions .
April is the best
She’s amazing and understanding, she keeps me thinking positive and is a great help
April allowed me to open up a bit during my first visit and it was very helpful to simply have someone to talk to about my concerns / internal problems. I really appreciate her willingness to provide resources as well which has allowed me to learn better coping strategies and relaxation techniques.
Within the short amount of time we got to know each other, April listened to what I needed to get through and reach in my therapy session. She listened, gave me examples and led me down the path to a better communicator
April is very professional, listens with understanding and not judgement.
