About Me

Hi! I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have been practicing in South Florida since 2007. The mission of my counseling practice is to bring joy to motherhood. I provide compassionate and loving services to women and their families as they plan for childbirth, parenting, and beyond. The major focus of my practice is on women’s issues, specifically prenatal and postpartum mental health. Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders are often unexpected developments in the journey of becoming a mother. I am here to nurture and support women and families through this sensitive and important time. Additionally, grief and loss associated with miscarriage, stillbirth, infertility, infant death, and birth trauma are also extremely common within my practice.

Over the years of my career, I have also worked as a therapist in addiction recovery centers as both a primary therapist and group facilitator. I have experience in treating substance abuse, eating disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, stress, and phase of life problems.

My style is warm, friendly, and real. I am honest and direct with a sense of humor. I draw from many modalities, but my favorites are solution-focused, mindfulness practices, cognitive behavioral, and experiential. I want to give you practical tools to help you feel better as soon as possible.

I graduated with a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from University of Central Florida in 2007. Aside from being a therapist, I’m also a Certified Hypnobirthing Instructor, Registered Yoga Teacher, and trained labor doula. I have an LGBT family, and my wife and I have 2 children and live near the beach.

If I sound like I’d be a good match for you, please send me a message now so we can get started on our work together!

Arian is wonderful and very experienced, I am grateful to have been matched with her. She helped me figuring out how to balance my work, life and kids and along with other family issues.

Never once I felt she judged me or put me down, she always listened to me carefully with empathy and understanding. She taught me skills that help me during difficult times that I find work well.

I am very pleased to have her as my therapist and I highly recommend her!

I am enjoying my sessions with Arian. She is very thoughtful and I feel like she really listens to me and my concerns. She always has good suggestions about things I can do to improve myself and deal with the issues I’m concerned about. Arian is always conscious about aligning her suggestions with my lifestyle. I find myself often thinking/saying to people “well Arian suggested this” which is a great sign. She also has a great sense of humor and I like that I can laugh and celebrate with her as much as I cry with her.

Arian has been a huge support through numerous life changes this winter. Offering solace and an open ear to bounce ideas off of, she has been instrumental in making sure my winter blues get a bit brighter. I highly recommend anyone to Arian especially if they are looking for some advice on how to get out of a funk, mitigate anxiety, or just need a sympathetic listener.
