About me
I am glad that you have decided to work towards improving your quality of life. Oftentimes, the most difficult part of change is asking for and seeking help. Thank you for allowing me to work alongside of you on your journey to achieve wellness. I am Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) in North Carolina. In addition, I am a Certified Clinical Military Counselor and National Certified Counselor. I obtained my Masters degree in Counseling in 2013 and have experience working with individuals with an variety of issues, such as depression, anxiety, emotion regulation, ADHD, stress management, relationship issues, military life, and of course addictions.
My primary focus throughout the counseling process is to ensure that I am developing and nurturing our therapeutic relationship. I believe that the therapeutic relationship should be positive and strong in order for effectively facilitate counseling interventions and techniques. I take a holistic approach in order to reach emotional, mental, and physical wellness. I am well versed in different counseling interventions such as Cognitive-Behaivoral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I operate from a strengths-based and individualistic approach in order to empower you to find the best solutions that work for you. We are going to work together to establish your goals for treatment because you are the true expert in your life. I encourage you to advocate for yourself so that we can find the right approach for your progress.
