Greetings! Resilience, in us, is crucial when faced with day to day challenges. To a certain degree, this resilience carries us through the toughest of times. For some, resilience has somewhat become dormant, to a point that it has manifested itself to making you feel "stuck." This feeling, may have you saying to yourself that there is no way out. Well, I'm here to say that you don't have to settle for less. There is always a way out of this being "stuck" feeling.
My counseling approach is that YOU are the expert of your life! You will dictate how your journey goes. I have found that every individual is unique in their own way. Therefore, my approach is integrative and I incorporate different life strategies and therapeutic techniques to assist and empower you to find solutions towards your well being. My goal is to be that tool that guides you to finding or restoring the resilience needed to overcome whatever obstacle or challenge life throws at you while at the same time giving you the tools to make the necessary changes in your life.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have been in the field of mental health for over thirty years. In that span of thirty years, I have worked in an acute inpatient unit with individuals with depression and bipolar. I have also been a behavioral consultant at my local school district and a school counselor for at risk students ages ten to eighteen. In addition to working in a hospital/clinical and educational setting, I have also worked in a private practice. I have worked with individuals with depression, anxiety, impulsive behaviors, ADHD, trauma, relationship issues, and individuals with autism. My educational background enables me to understand behavior patterns from a theoretical perspective but my own life experiences enables me to relate to you and/or others.
I know that asking and receiving this kind of help still carries a certain stigma in many cultures and populations. However, let this be the day that you begin a process of new beginnings. Taking care of your mental well being is just as important as taking care of your physical well being. Hope to hear from you soon!

Very helpful and easy to talk to
This is my first time in therapy. I found it a little weird at first but Armando has made it a safe space to be who I am in therapy and help me through some emotional trauma I've been dealing with. I highly recommend Armando if you're looking for an easy going therapist that centers healing around yourself. You got to be ready to do the work.
Armando has been fantastic. I've never been in therapy prior to this, he has been a great help to me through my struggles just even by listening and giving me information. I would definitely recommend him.
He is really awesome! He listens, he is empathetic, insightful and compassionate. I am very grateful to have found him!
So far, I have had a great experience with Armando. It is my first time with any sort of therapy and he is guiding me through the process and asking me good questions.
