Arthur Hastings, LMHC
About me
I began working in the field at a VA Hospital Indiana psychiatric unit at the age of 18. My official first mental health job was at a psychiatric inpatient unit in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1977 when I was 22. From there I was hired at the local mental health center and worked the next 40 years. I retired in from my job of 40 years in 2018 but have continued to do private practice. I have a passion to work with people who need therapy. I am excited to keep working in the field of counseling. My specialties include, trauma counseling, grief work, anxiety disorders, depression and LGBTQ issues. I specifically love to take Trauma cases and people who have anxiety disorders. Since the pandemic began, I have done Telehealth services from my home and in the private practice office. Better Help with its focus on telehealth is the perfect place for me to work. I enjoy being a therapist because I feel it was the path I was meant to follow. I look forward to accepting new clients.

Arthur is absolutely amazing. He is easy to talk to. I am not greatest at opening up but Walter asks me the right question when we are talking to get me to dive deeper into the things I am having issues with and has really been helping me sort through somethings

Listens well and I feel no judgement for anything I might say. I’ve only had two sessions but I feel as though I can trust him.
