About me

Hi there! I am so glad you are here. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia with 9 years of professional work experience. I have experience in providing trauma-informed care to children, adolescents, families, and adults whom have struggled with trauma and abuse, anxiety and depression, and a range of challenges experienced within interpersonal relationships. I have also worked with teens and young adults struggling with substance use issues along with co-occurring mental health diagnoses. I have used a range of therapies including play and sand therapy, expressive arts, yoga-based therapy, breath work, mindfulness, Crisis Intervention, TF-CBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and supportive counseling. I consider myself a relational therapist that places a strong emphasis on the therapeutic alliance. My goal is to create a safe and accepting space where you can be vulnerable, share your thoughts and feelings, and be unapologetically you in all of our sessions together. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming issues that challenge you.
