About me

Welcome! Something in your life has initiated this search for support and you’ve come to the right place. I applaud you. It takes a wise and strong person to seek out counseling support in getting the life they want. I want to help you get there. Here is a little about me and how I plan to support you:

I have a master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York. Since the beginning of my bachelor’s education I have been refining my skill in counseling others. I spent 10 years working with children and families in residential treatment helping to reunify their families, and the past five years in inpatient adult and adolescent acute hospital setting. My experience has taught me humility and how to better meet my clients where they are at. I have worked with individuals who have faced trauma in their lives, who have had suicidal thoughts and have had there first or seen their family with there first mental health crisis. I have had the pleasure of helping individuals and their families rebuild their communication with one another, I have helped individuals with depression and anxiety and grow confidence.

My therapeutic style involves helping you to arrive at insight, strategies, and tools that you can begin using immediately to make positive change in your life. We don’t just sit and talk. I love to provide you with concrete tools wherever possible and help you to have a plan for the following days before our next session, if that is the pace you would like to move at. Most importantly, we are going to make sure we are making progress on goals that you have for yourself. I will be there to guide you, encourage you, possibly even challenge you if I feel you are unknowingly allowing obstacles to stand in your way.
I know that is can be difficult to find the right counselor for you. I believe that it is important to be able to fully trust your counselor and know that you can say absolutely anything to them and that they will not think any less of you. If this is the kind of relationship you would like to have with your counselor, I feel that I would be the best fit for you than you have come to the right place and I look forward to working with you.
