Hello, my name is Ashley Pratt. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois and have been in practice for the past five years. Over that time, I have refined my counseling skills by providing individual, couples, and family counseling to individuals five to older adult in inpatient psychiatric settings, residential settings, community outreach programs, and in private practice. I have a direct, solution-focused approach, which aids individuals in addressing problematic behaviors and thought processes which are negatively impacting their life. I have experience supporting individuals in managing anxiety, mood disorders, psychosis, trauma, self-harm and suicidal thoughts, and substance use. I also have experience working with individuals who are managing chronic medical conditions as well as mental health issues.
My philosophy focuses on building a respectful, honest, and collaborative relationship with my clients. I believe each client is the expert on themselves and their needs. Through providing a warm, safe, and supportive therapeutic space, my hope is to help individuals identify their own goals for therapy and guide them in managing hurdles in their life. In our work together, we will search for the root of the issues you are experiencing and learn to nurture the underlying issues. My personal areas of expertise include a holistic and eclectic approach using Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral techniques, and trauma informed approaches. I enjoy teaching interventions which can be used in a variety of settings, such as relaxation techniques and thought reframing. I believe we cannot address challenges in life in isolation, and I hope to offer the support needed to overcome any challenges in life.

Ashley is incredible. She offers a wide range of interesting perspectives and helps to root them into frameworks that we build together, frameworks that are ultimately tailored to me. I'm many steps ahead in the healing process from where I would have been without a good counselor.
Ashley has helped me so much. She's great at her job. She helps me most with self reflection and asks the right questions that make me look into myself more and figure out what my actual worries are. I'd recommend her to anyone who needs a counselor.
I’ve been working with Ashley throughout the summer, and she’s been such a good help to me the entire time. She validated my feelings, whatever they are, and offers new perspectives to things that are happening in my life. I would definitely recommend her to anyone going through a difficult or confusing time in their life.
Ashley is one who really tries to get to the root of the issue. She asks questions that help you not only process what you’re saying but also clarify the situation. Highly recommend her!
Ashley is truly amazing! She’s helping me in more ways than even she knows.
Ashley has been really great so far. We've only had a few live sessions but I feel like she understands what I'm going through and is helping me sort through my feelings in a productive way. She's very responsive to messages and flexible with scheduling.
She's very professional and understanding. She always responds in a timely manner and has a lot of great advice for stressful situations. Ashley is by far the best counseling experience I've ever had, and I would happily recommend her services to others!
