About me

Hi! I'm so happy you found my profile! My name is Ashton and my pronouns are she/her. I received a Bachelors of Science in Experimental Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience and an Education Specialist degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of South Carolina. I have been counseling for three years now. I understand that every person comes to counseling with their own strengths, needs, and unique perspectives; because of this, I utilize a holistic, individualized approach to therapy. Above all else, I believe the first step to real therapeutic change begins with creating an environment where my clients can feel safe and comfortable working collaboratively toward their goals. I work with adults regarding topics such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-confidence, LGBTQIA+, life transitions, boundary setting, interpersonal problems, and communication.

Having never done online therapy, I was hesitant to try. When I was matched with Ashton very quickly, I was so incredibly grateful to have found her!! She gave me great homework to apply between sessions and she let me take our conversations where I most needed them. The tools she gave me are things I’ll continue to use for a lifetime of better communication.

Ashton has been so great and understanding!
I was very afraid and nervous to even reach out, and after the first session I could feel more comfortable, I hardly could speak about what things I had going on and she has helped me by making my goals not intimidating at all, I feel that the progress is actually there and I can feel open to share when my days are not the best too.
