About Me

People come to therapy for a variety of reasons. Sometimes you are in crisis mode, and sometimes you just need someone to talk to for support. My goal is to help you manage distress, as well as help you determine where your issue comes from in the first place. Originally from Michigan, I gave up cold winters for the palm trees of sunny San Diego. I am empathetic, nonjudgmental, and authentic with a good sense of humor. I have over ten years of experience providing mental health services to adults, families, and children, and I have been providing online therapy for a little over a year. I work with all types of issues, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and relationship conflicts (just to name a few!). My primary treatment modalities include CBT, DBT and solution-focused techniques. I enjoy working as a therapist because I legitimately love learning about people. I really look forward to meeting and working with you. Welcome!

Beth has been incredibly helpful for me. From her first message, I could tell she was warm, compassionate and real. She's supporting me in a really tough time, and I feel like her work with me is truly helping me heal and reflect.

I’ve been working with Beth for over a year. I signed up with BetterHelp during a terrible rough patch in my life. I have therapy through an HMO but my mental state wouldn’t allow me to get out of bed and face the world so I have this service a shot. My first counselor wasn’t a good fit but I matched with Beth the second time around. It’s strange how a person can put you at ease despite never meeting face to face. How she communicated with me, the frequency, and the genuine responses made me feel listened to. Beth knows the questions to ask to make you reflect on your current issue and evoke positive changes. She doesn’t give up even through periods of silence on my end. I’m now ready to end my service with BetterHelp but never could have done this without her. I’m forever grateful for her help. I trust that if there ever comes a time that I need counseling again, I will return to this site and hope so very much that I get to work with Beth again.

Beth has been very helpful to me in helping me break the patterns of my mindsets and finding strategies to work through what is going on with me. She always gets back to me and is consistent in giving nudges if I fail to respond. I would absolutely recommend her to others.

From the very first message I received, I knew that I was in good hands with Beth. Beth is very understanding, and always seems to really know what it is exactly that I'm trying to convey, and helps me dig deeper and really get to the root of the issues. She offers very helpful suggestions and alternate viewpoints that give me a better frame of reference and gives me the tools to help me cope with the various challenges life throws my way. Best of all, I feel as though this is a completely judgement-free zone which Beth has created, that allows me to feel more open and share freely about how I feel, and say things I wouldn't be comfortable sharing anywhere else. I look forward to continuing receiving counsel from Beth, and I'm very thankful for Beth and for BetterHelp for all of the help and support I've received!

She is a great help to me. Since we started to talk, I feel a little better about myself. She's helped me to realize that my situation isn't as black and white as I thought. I really do recommend people to talk to her because she doesn't judge you. You can confide in her and she will help you understand that you can trust her to help you.
