I am a clinical social worker, licensed in the states of Connecticut and Maine.
For more than a decade I have worked with racially, economically, sexually, and culturally diverse persons who struggle with issues and conditions related to trauma. I believe that the effective healing journey is unique, authentic, and addresses the whole person: mind, body and spirit. To this end, I apply knowledge and experience from several related professional trainings [clinical social work, clinical trauma professional, certified mental health integrative medicine professional lifestyle medicine professional and certified personal trainer, and ordained minister] to counsel and coach clients in gaining awareness, understanding, and skills to manage and transform the distressing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are the consequences of adverse and/or traumatic experiences; and that are interfering with them living a healthy, well-functioning life.
I engage evidence-based therapeutic approaches that integrate traditional, holistic, and creative client-centered therapeutic processes and interventions to help clients overcome limiting, self-defeating thoughts and feelings about self-worth, relationships and choices that underlie distress and dysfunction.

Beverly understands my needs and helps me to work through childhood trauma and anxiety with the compassion and understanding of a highly skilled counsellor. She has provided many different techniques to deal with anxiety as well as breaking through the barrriers that inhibit a healthy and productive life.
This has been done via good interpersonal skills and gaining my trust most immediatley. She is flexible in her talent as a counsellor providing many different techniques to combat personal issues and anxiety. For the first time I feel hopeful and optimistic for the present and the future, this comes from Beverly
as she is culturally sensitive, and self-aware of the situation. Thank you.

I have been working with Bev for almost six months. In that time I have made real & tangible progress. She is kind, trustworthy, savvy, & extremely skilled at getting to the heart of my issues with insight, skill, & compassion.
I respect & love her for the speed with which she has helped me sort through & get to a resolution of some of my longstanding, emotional issues. Some of the things I have been working through include:
emotional abuse, alcohol abuse, avoidance, denial, & negative self-esteem.
Bev is equally comfortable exploring profound, spiritual, moments as she is offering concrete actions & habits to support the ways in which I manage my improving adjustment to life.
I would like to remake the world in the spirit of generous humanity that Bev brings to every session.
