Beverly (Ann) Smith Bio
In addition to being a therapist, I am a licensed clinical social worker (MSW, LCSW), certified dementia practitioner and former Baccalaureate trained nurse. This unique background enables me to empower others in multiple ways.
My over 20 years of experience includes working in hospitals, clinics, adoption/foster care agencies, assisted living facilities, and teaching as an adjunct professor at local junior colleges.
I have counseled children, teens, foster parents, grandparents, young parents, members of the LGBTQ community, and cisgender adults using cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and mindfulness-based therapy.
I believe that good outcomes with therapy are significantly linked to being matched with the therapist best suited for you. My goal is to be caring, honest, compassionate, committed and effective.

I am grateful that Anne is such a wonderful, knowledgeable and patient therapist.
Having someone who truly listens in a safe environment that can help me navigate my anxiety and day to day issues concerns that come up has really helped me be in a more healthy place.
I have been I have been working with Beverly for about a year now. She has been there for me through some very tough times and has helped me talk through the tough circumstances I was facing. She has always had a gentle approach and has been very helpful to chat with. In between our scheduled sessions she always checks in with a message which really helped me on days I was struggling. I highly recommend working with Beverly.
Great listener and great strategies.
Ann is a wonderful therapist. She listens, she asks questions that make me think and self evaluate, and she offers helpful practical advice.
The worst sessions ever! Beverly Smith fell asleep on me each session we had together. She showed up late to our sessions and ended early. She gave advice that shows that she is in the side of a rapist and child molesters saying that women clothing can cause them to be raped so we shouldn’t wear certain clothing that can cause these actions to happen to us. Each season I had with her, I had to reintroduce myself because she didn’t remember me and said “oh you look so different”. I had to go over what we spoke about the week before in order for her to remember who I was. My experience with Beverly Smith was the worst counseling that I’ve ever had in life and I do not recommend her for anyone!
She is an amazing Therapist. She takes the time to listen and she also gives you the right tools you need in order to work through your issues and to better yourself.
Beverly Ann Smith is a godsend of a therapist. Structured, incisive, personable and supportive, she is a master of the therapeutic alliance. I'm so lucky to have found her.
Ann is a very special person she's understanding wise . Gives me different ideas on how to handle my situation that I'm dealing with. I can see a long lasting relationship
She’s has great communication skills and comes with a plan!
She’s great she helped me reframe a some concepts about my last relationship that have helped my breakup recovery
She listens to me, she gives advice, she mentioned that she may say something to me that will hurt my feelings, and that was okay, I could be mad at her. But I have to be honest, what she said was real, it was true and it did NOT hurt my feelings. I NEED her truth, honesty, outside views right now. She is already helping me tremendously. This is a hard battle right now. I know I needed help. I’m thankful they matched me with Beverly.
