I’m Beverly Tracy and I provide counseling to clients living in North Carolina and South Carolina. I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I graduated from University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Master of Social Work. I have built my practice around healthcare and more specifically, oncology; hospice; and home health. Common concerns I see in my work include depression, anxiety, life transitions, abuse, family conflict, grief and loss, and adjustment to adverse life events.
What can you expect from me?
Clear boundaries. I care about my clients but we can’t be friends or have contact outside the therapeutic relationship and that protects both of us and helps me abide by my professional ethics.
Respect. You’re the expert on you. I am here to listen, guide, challenge and explore with you. I strive to practice with attention and sensitivity to our inherent differences. I won’t make decisions for you.
Compassion. No judgment. You’re already struggling and you don’t need me adding to your burden. I believe we all do our very best to show up and we should be given extra grace for getting through tough times.
Honesty. I work within my area of skill and expertise. If I don’t feel like I can help you move toward a solution, I will help connect you with a therapist who is more familiar with your particular need.
More About Me
When I’m not working, you’re likely to find me gardening, spending time with friends or playing with my dogs. I am a wife, a mom, a daughter and a sister. My core values of honesty and integrity guide and inform my choices and decisions. I am an extroverted introvert. Listening is perhaps my best asset.
Life can be hard sometimes and if you are ready to feel better or make different choices, I’d love to work with you.

Beverly is so incredible at what she does. I was a little skeptical at first about whether therapy would really help me feel better and work through my issues, but she has given me so much space to just speak my mind and also given me time to get comfortable. Those are two things that I haven’t been able to find anywhere else and are extremely important to feel seen and eventually grow out of old unhealthy patterns. She is very skilled at balancing listening and coaching. Her patience and presence in themselves are so transformative. Just knowing that she is there is enough to make me feel better because she is so accepting while also making me aware of irrational thoughts and behaviors. I am beyond impressed with how much therapy has already shifted my mindset and changed my life. Thank you so much for what you do, Beverly. I’m so so grateful for you!
She is fantastic, easy to talk with and helpful
Beverly put me completely at ease, even though I was very nervous to start this process. I feel like she is a great, non-biased sounding board, yet I feel like she has my back and my best interests in mind. Beverly is reliable and responsive, just what I needed in this process.
Beverly has been amazing with helping me process grief. I don't know where I'd be without her guidance. Thank you so much.
She is great really listens and helps me
I can not put into words how astonishing it was to be put with the perfect therapist for myself the VERY FIRST TIME!! I recommend everyone to better help, its the best decision I could have ever made for myself. I have not had good therapy experience in my life before trying better help, and this has been a fantastic experience. I consider Beverly Tracy a friend, I can trust her with everything. I never feel ashamed after I tell her anything I would normally feel ashamed over. She helps me see things more clearly in my life. I CANT recomend her enough!
Beverly is an excellent therapist. She zeroed in on my problem quickly and is helping me to find realistic strategies to correct the problems I am having. Plus, she is extremely personable, making the session fun and welcoming.
