Growth and change can be difficult, but you've already taken the first step. I'm Bonnie Fagan, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I received both my Bachelor in Science and Master in Science degrees from Cal State Fullerton where I had the opportunity to gain experience treating children in the school setting, working with adults with substance abuse and relational issues, working with veterans, and counseling high school students. In the recent years, I have enjoyed working with adolescents and adults on individual and interpersonal issues. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment where we can work together to explore your emotions, experiences, and challenges and help you on your journey toward finding personal fulfillment. I use a person centered approach where I integrate Strengths Based, Mindfulness, Interpersonal, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques that are tailored to your specific needs. I have proven experience working with individuals and families from a range of backgrounds having trouble adjusting to challenges.
I specialize in helping couples and families manage relationship issues to enrich their connection, working with trauma survivors to process their experiences in order to move forward, coaching parents on how to manage difficult behaviors in young children, and addressing individual issues related to anxiety and stress, depression, life transitions, postpartum wellness, and self-esteem. I also love working with college students and those in training toward becoming therapists themselves.
In my free time I like to spend time with my children and my dog, being active and enjoying the outdoors, and going to concerts and sporting events.
I am flexible in utilizing different treatment formats in order to best meet your needs.

She makes me feel comfortable opening up to her and to me that’s the most important part
Bonnie has been very helpful and gives practical advice.
I signed up for this service when I was going through a personal crisis and really needed to talk to someone who wouldn’t judge me and would listen and be supportive. I love how I can just text whatever I’m feeling and what my worries are and I know that I’ll get an answer back. The messages don’t always come back right away, but it isn’t a long wait and when I don’t get a reply it’s very thoughtful and reassuring. Bonnie gives me things to consider and ask myself that help me stay positive and learn from my current situation and move on. It’s been so incredibly helpful and made a huge difference in lessening my anxiety.
Bonnie has been really helpful in understanding my concerns/issues and in working through them.
Bonnie is professional, helpful, insightful, and has a great demeanor as a therapist. I highly recommend her.
Bonnie is great. She listens well and has a positive attitude. Bonnie gave some good advice and tools that I can use.
Bonnie is great and very empathetic.
Really kind and really listens and understands to what you need and provides feasible solutions to all my problems.
So grateful for BetterHelp and Bonnie. It has provided me and my boys on-the-go help with flexible scheduling for us. We couldn't get a therapist because we would have to miss school and work.
Bonnie is great. After matching with a couple different counselors, I finally found her, and I'm so glad I did. She helped me so much while I was wading through the waters of an impending breakup with a long term live-in boyfriend. She listens well, asks great questions, and has helped me to see my own situation more clearly. She is also responsive, and usually gets back to me within 24 hours, even when I write her a novel's worth of text. Thank you!
