Welcome. I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 25 years of continuous experience as a mental health therapist, program manager, clinical supervisor, trainer, and clinical director in various settings, including primary care and a community mental health agency. After being with Better help for about 2 years, I have found that this process works best when it is client driven, and my general therapeutic philosophy is that honest self exploration is the engine of good therapy. I may give direction at times and even advice if it is solicited, but usually the client holds the key to better life satisfaction and mental well-being. I see my role as a partner and facilitator of that process.
It takes a surprisingly short amount of time to cover the main issues and develop some sort of strategy going forward by applying what we know works in mental health and relationship therapy. Modern brain science demonstrates that by being aware and mindful of our own automatic patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and changing the focus of our attention...as well as HOW we attend to our inner and outer worlds, we can quite literally change and alter the neuropathways in our own brain that make change so difficult and illusive.
I do think Better Help is unique in the way that it maximizes convenience and quality mental health services at the same time. So many people don't have access to competent, quality, affordable mental health care. I truly love getting to do this on a daily basis. I have had the privilege of talking with men and women all over the world in these last couple of years about their stories, each unique in their own way, and yet I find the same psychological themes no matter what country or culture they come from. I love working for Better Help because even after all of the traditional therapy I have done over the past decades, I still have learned so much from my online clients and have been inspired by their courage.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND UTILIZING THE LIVE SESSION THROUGH CHAT, PHONE, OR VIDEO. In general it just adds more value to the service at no extra cost. It's of course fine if you want to stick to the texts because some people just aren't going to be comfortable with the live sessions for various reasons, but it does provide that extra dimension if you are so inclined. The video sessions are virtually identical the face to face therapy I have done my entire adult life. I find that young adults in particular really do well with the live chat. No matter what forum you choose to take advantage of, people tend to get out of it what they put into it. One final note, I try to do some work on the weekend, but I do ask clients to be understanding of the fact I have a family myself and so response times will be greater during those periods.

I also have experience in Family, Trauma and abuse, Grief, Anger, Self esteem, Career, Bipolar

I’m very happy with my sessions with Bradley, He’s very easy to talk to and he’s been very helpful. Bradley took my situation very seriously and he kept on checking on me every now and then just to let me know that he was around whenever I needed him. Bradley made it very easy for me to share stories and he made sure I always felt good about myself at the end of every session. Thank you so much, Bradley, It was such pleasure doing sessions with you! :)))
I have never met someone who could make me feel so reassured before, and I am extremely grateful. He states somehow in his introduction to believe in "honest self-exploration", which I think is great; however, his subtle and surgical interventions also make a whole of a difference. : )
Bradley is a fellow companion along my way to improvement. A well-thought individual that I treasure, and I cannot thank him enough for listening to me and helping me in my way forward. A perfect aid to have in the process of becoming a better person.
Bradley does very well comprehending the problems I am experiencing. If your problems are complex and/or nuanced in nature, Bradley will do a fine job helping you out. He offers worthwhile insight into your issues. In my experience, I've noticed an improvement in the severity of my issues very soon after initiating our counseling session.
A very thorough guy, gets to the crux of the matter real quick.
Bradley is very friendly and professional. He makes me feel comfortable to share whatever is on my mind like with an old friend.

Bradley is an attentive and insightful counselor. He trusts in my intelligence and blesses my desire for change--I couldn't recommend him highly enough to other people seeking support on Better Help.
Brad has been a wonderful counselor to me, he has gotten me out of a very dark place in my life. He is very knowledgeable and he has a ton of life experience which I was able to relate to. I am so grateful to have worked with him.
Bradley has consistently provided helpful feedback and coping strategies, even if I go long periods of time without using the app. I like that I am able to pull it up when I need it.
Mr. Burklow is very nice and seems to really care about his clients. Seems very understanding.
Bradley has a very warm personality and makes you feel comfortable right away. His insights and experience are very valuable.
Brad Burklow is not your average counselor. He is a dedicated, thoughtful, intelligent, and experienced. He makes the effort to help you improve, if you want to. He doesn't push you too far. He simply tries to help you achieve your life goals, be happier, and more productive. He helped me feel like I have value, like what I say is important, that intentions can be put into actions, and that I can change even if I have a few failures along the way.
I've found Bradley to be compassionate, interactive and very supportive. He replies to my messages promptly.
I am currently working with Bradley on various issues I am facing in my personal and professional life. Firstly, I was struggling to cope with infidelity and manipulation issues, and Bradley helped me find answers and is still helping me with trust issues. Bradley is very knowledgeable and informative when it comes to delivering information or explanations.
Bradley is the nonjudgmental, completely understanding voice of reason that I needed to hear when I felt like I had no one to turn to. He tries very hard to make sense out of a very messy situation, and his experience and skill shows as he always manages to cut to the point and provide thoughtful, tailored advice that really helps. Talking to him is probably what has kept me sane these last few months. I highly recommend him.
Mr. Burklow has been a great help to me and he is very encouraging!
With Brad's help, I have learned how to change the way I think. It has completely changed the relationship dynamic for the better in my marriage. I'm not so fearful, anxious and argumentative in the marriage, my wife has space to live and it's been a great change.
Bradley was fantastic. Very down to earth, practical advice that cut right through the issues very quickly to some strategies rather than endless introspection. I'd recommend him to anyone.
Very nice, sweet man. Tries very hard to remember what you tell him and tries to find the best options on dealing with your problems for you.
Bradley Burklow has been a tremendous help to me through a very difficult period. He clearly knows his stuff and has made me feel normal when I felt very isolated and alone. The ease of using this service has been a godsend as it doesn't mean I need to take time off work to visit a counselor or drive great distances to wait nervously in a waiting room. I can simply log on and write when I need to and have a private conversation at my leisure.
Thank you Bradley for being so kind and paying so much attention to the problems of others! I really appreciate your willingness to explain things and go deep. You are a great professional and person.
Bradley Burklow had helped me move to my first steps of finding peace with myself and the loss of my significant other. Thank you for opening these doors for me.
In my time with Bradley Burklow, I have discovered someone who provides a straightforward perspective and advice to help me sort out who I am, what I need and how to move forward. He has the ability to use and explain researched-based psychological principles as well as a solid sense of spirituality to help discern problems and solutions. I recommend him if you are in need.
Bradley is attentive and intelligent with just the right amount of levity.
I appreciate that Mr. Burklow has given me some concrete steps that I can take to address my issues. His compassion and skill are apparent.
I only spent a short time working with Bradley, but he helped me in very real and tangible ways in that short space of time. He's a great guy to talk to, understanding and to the point, he never missed a beat. He's obviously very knowledgeable and has a wealth of experience, but the thing I noticed the most was his ability to distill his experience and knowledge into a few short paragraphs that gets straight to the point in the most helpful way, kinda like a headache pill, targeted pain relief! I can't thank him enough! I'd recommend him to anyone who needs help or guidance in their life.
Thank you Bradley!
Brad has been a superb therapist in a very tough time for me. His awareness of many modalities and ways of helping is obvious in his work, and that has definitely mattered. When a therapist obviously cares, and is willing to carefully and empathically offer written support and insight, that is a powerful thing. I am glad he is here on better help. Thank you, Brad.
If you need someone to talk to, he's your man! It's always good to hear sound advice when you are going through hard times. I was able to tell Brad some of my problems and we worked on them together! And the message format made the conversations easier in ways. There's more time to think about the conversation and do research on some topics of the discussion to better understand your situation. I recommend Brad!
Bradley has been a thoroughly excellent counselor who has really helped me through a difficult period of time. I'd recommend him very highly to anyone as he has provided very insightful advice and helped me learn many techniques which I feel will be useful throughout my whole life and make arising problems and stress more manageable. He is a really genuine and non-judgemental person and his compassion and care truly shines!
Dr. Bradley Burklow is very good at getting to the root of a problem with ease. I signed up for BetterHelp with short term problems and he provided the tools to help cope with those problems. He provided resources and encouraged me to keep moving forward and stay focused.
I have had a week of liberation, though I don't have a clinical problem, I do a constant issue in my marriage and my husband being a step father to my older son. After I explained to Mr. Burklow, he kindly put things in perspective and helped me figure out what exactly is going on. His experienced shined through his words and thoughts, and many ideas. I have more knowledge now to embrace and aproach this situation, even for posible future turbulances. Thank you, I will sure tell others. God bless you.
I debated using e-counseling for quite a while before making the commitment, and it's honestly the best decision I've made for myself in a long time. Brad is compassionate, helpful, positive, humble, and he truly listens and NEVER judges me. It has only been a short time but I already don't know what I would do without him!
Dr. Bradley Burklow has a keen insight to exactly what an individual needs. He can quickly narrow in on one's areas of struggle and provide accurate assesssment and solutions with kindness and compassion. I highly recommend him for personal development and family relations.
Coming into this online session was erie for me but at the time I was going through a lot of changes and unresolved childhood & PTSD issues I was desperate and gave it a whirl. My assigned therapist is Brad and he to date is great and excellent at what he does. I am determined to keep up with my sessions and therapy as it has helped and improved me a lot as a person, mother and wife in understanding, acknowledging and acceptance in the 2.5 months.
Bradley has been a great therapist who was a great listener, asked a lot of insightful questions and really helped me work through some things I was struggling with. He provided resources that were helpful to me and I never felt pressured to take on something that wasn't right for me. He was very in tune with my thinking. Thanks Bradley!
Barry's qualification and years of experience, as well as his humility and faith, made me feel at ease as soon as I started counseling sessions with him. I knew he could help me and that I'd be ok. Thank you.
He's so helpful, caring, and honest. He has so many techniques to share that I can use myself and with my kids. He's truly one of the best counselors I've ever had!
He's very empathetic and intellectual at the same time. I love our discussions! They've been so helpful.
I just started to work with Bradley. So far he is the best therapist among all I had previously. Lets see what's gonna be next :)
Bradley is awesome. He is real, genuine, down to earth, and practical. I also like that he is empathetic. I feel like a partner in my counseling rather than being in a power relationship. This aspect is important to me. Thank you Bradley!
I have received a lot of help from From Bradley as I'm navigating the 20 year infidelity of my husband. As my husband is trying to reconcile, Bradley is really helping me figure out where my anxiety ends and my rational side begins.
I've been very pleased with his input and his ability to make me think about my situation looking at different aspects of my choices.
Very nice and helpful.
Brad is very experienced and knowledgeable, but never pedantic. I appreciate that he never tries to squash me in a box with labels, but is just open to discussing what I need help with and coming up with solutions. He's a practical and very pleasant guy. I appreciate his help.
