My name is Brandi Hampshire. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Tennessee. I have 10 years experience working with adolescents and teens, alongside their parents. I also have two years experience working with adults in the correctional setting. I have worked with clients with a wide array of issues, including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, OCD, post-traumatic stress disorder, parenting issues, anger management, grief/loss, alcohol and drug issues, personality disorders, and life stressors.
My counseling style is communicative and warm. I emphasize clients' strengths and life experiences, and encourage the clients as they move through their journeys of self-awareness and personal growth. I draw from a number of methodologies, which are tailored to fit the uniqueness of each individual, couple, or family. Among these are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
It takes courage to reach out and I invite you to take the first step toward change by setting up an appointment to discuss your journey. I am here to support, encourage, and empower you. Once you respond to this message, I will send you some additional general information about how this online counseling process works, and then we can get started.
Should you feel in need of urgent help or that you are in crisis at any time during our work together; please call 911. This forum does not provide any type of emergency services, so I want to be sure you know who to contact if you need immediate help.

Brandi has been absolutely instrumental in helping me recover from one of the most difficult years of my life. For me, she has been a mix of compassionate and truly empathetic towards my experiences which I have desperately needed, but also practical in helping me come up with actual tools on how to manage certain situations in a healthy way which I also needed. She has a wonderful way of giving me a lending ear and validating all of my thoughts and experiences, but I always leave feeling empowered with what I can actually do for myself to take control over improving my mental health and understanding how I best can set myself up for peace and fulfillment even during the hardest times when that seems impossible. I'm very grateful to have her counsel.

Brandi is the best counselor I've ever experienced. She's patient and understanding. She encourages self help and helped me understand that my healing was within myself and a matter of rewiring my brain rather than suggesting a prescription like I've experienced in past with other counselors. She helped me believe and trust in myself. I'm truly thankful that she was my counselor

Brandi listened and gave me really useful advice in a season of my life that I didn't really feel like I had anyone who understood what I was going through. Brandi helped me know how to better cope with anxiety and depression when I was starting to heal from a childhood trauma. I am much better prepared and ready to heal now that I have gotten help from Brandi.
