I have a Master’s degree in Mental Health/ Mental Health Counseling. Which has enabled me to get my Clinical Mental Health Counselor license in the State of Utah. I have 10 years of experience working in the mental health field. In that time, I have gained a lot of experience in the areas of individual, couples, parents and family therapy. I have several areas of which I have gained expertise in such as; trauma treatment, substance abuse treatment, attachment and family dynamics, as well as grief and loss.
I believe that for any change in someone’s life they need to first have a safe place to start from. I try and create that safe place in counseling, to allow you as my client to decide what changes you want to make and how to overcome whatever obstacle their facing now. I work from a place of compassion and empathy as well as straight honesty. I believe that we are all doing the best we can in life and sometimes we just need a little help to change where we are.
In my life I have many things going on but for me what helps keep me grounded and moving forward are my desire to help others, my dog Coda and my creative spirit. I am a native Utah resident and have experience both in and out of the LDS church. I currently run a parenting group that allows me to reach many needy families and I find it very fulfilling.
Additional areas of focus: Addictions, Relationship issues, Grief, Intimacy-related issues, Self esteem, Career difficulties, Depression
Clinical approaches: Attachment-Based Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

She is amazing! She's been more than willing to make everything work with scheduling and has been nothing but supportive. I feel like I truly matter as a person thanks to Brandy. If anyone I know ever were to need a therapist, I would highly recommend them to see her.

I have enjoyed working with Brandy. She replies very quickly and she takes the time to check in, ask questions, and help in whatever way she can. She has given me helpful tools and advice to help me through some things and she's been very flexible to help me in the way that I wanted.
