About me
You are courage to have taken steps to seek assistance with your life stressors and embrace change that will move you toward the person you want to be. My name is Brenda, and it is a privilege to be considered as a potential partner on your journey.
I am a Georgia-based, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with 6 years of experience working in an outpatient setting with adults, couples, and children and adolescents who have had a similar desire for change. I have work primarily with people who are dealing with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, bipolar and other mood disorders, trauma, issues with self-esteem and self-confidence, and challenges faced during life changes and transitions, as well as grief and loss, relationship issues, and family conflicts.
As a therapist I meet individuals where they are right now and focus on where they want to be in order to live their best lives. I am an eclectic therapist and integrate several modalities including but not limited to: CBT, TF-CBT, REBT, using personal strengths The modalities that have proven most useful are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-based Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Hopefully, what I have shared here will help you select the best fit for a therapist. Should you select me, I look forward to our journey together.
