About me

Meet Our Experienced Integrative & Psychodynamic Psychotherapist:

I'm a highly qualified Integrative & Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, proudly registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). With over two decades of dedicated experience, I've traversed diverse professional fields, including Social Care, Education, and Health, offering invaluable clinical assessments and psychological therapy to individuals across the lifespan.

A Decade of Specialization in Complex Cases:

My journey has taken a deep dive into the National Health Service (NHS) over the past decade, where I've served as a Clinical Specialist. Here, I've honed my expertise in Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and Physical Disabilities. I am clinically trained to diagnose Autism in both children and adults, and I bring this specialised knowledge to Betterhelp.

Driving Positive Change in Mental Health:

My passion for the evolving landscape of mental health goes beyond individual therapy. I'm dedicated to conducting research and crafting articles that contribute to professional advancements in this rapidly changing field. As a vocal advocate, I frequently address audiences on the profound impact of mental health on society.

Therapeutic Support for All Challenges:

I firmly believe in the transformative power of therapeutic support and treatment. Regardless of the difficulties or challenges an individual may face, I offer a compassionate, objective, and analytical approach to uncovering the root causes of problems. Together, we explore insights and develop strategies to manage and maintain all aspects of an individual's life. The mind is in a constant state of evolution, and embracing change is a fundamental aspect of growth.

Empowering Organsations Through Consultancy:

Beyond individual therapy, I actively engage in consultancy work with corporate companies. Drawing on my extensive knowledge in business, psychology, and organisational behaviour, I provide unique insights that bridge the gap between mental health and corporate success. My understanding of strategic leadership and international clinical practice equips me to address complex challenges in the corporate world.

Systematic and Analytical Problem-Solving:

My approach to problem-solving is systemic and analytical, allowing me to take initiative and innovate effectively. This approach is not only practical but also highly relevant in a corporate setting. It enables me to collaborate with clients in achieving clear objectives and fostering a mentally healthy work environment.

Championing Mental Health Beyond Therapy:

My commitment to mental health extends to my role as the chair of a mental health charity. In this capacity, I actively engage in research and article writing, contributing to the ongoing professional development of the mental health field.

At Betterhelp, I am dedicated to empowering individuals, couples, and families on their unique mental health journeys. I am equally enthusiastic about partnering with corporate clients to enhance well-being and organisational performance. Together, we navigate the complexities of the mind, drive positive change, and embrace the transformative potential of therapy.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Brett Garcia. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Brett has been amazing. These sessions have brought me a long way from where I was previously. It’s not just the comforting words, it was a journey to understand and find myself. This was one of my first therapy sessions and although I was skeptical of any change through therapy when starting I can now say differently. I highly recommend.
