About me

Thank you for showing interest in me. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a veteran. I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, trauma, abuse, coping with grief, coping with loss, motivation, self-esteem, & confidence. I also have experience working with coping with life changes and addiction. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.

Due to the complexity of a human being’s experiential reality and biology, I believe that an Integrative approach is beneficial due to the flexibility that an Integrative approach provides. An Integrative approach aims to address the whole person by considering their mental health, physical health, and spirituality in a unified way. Compared to other therapeutic approaches, an Integrative approach combines techniques and ideas from various therapeutic schools of thought to tailor treatment to an individual's unique needs. I am also trained in Eye Movement, Desensitization, and Reprocessing (EMDR) and use EMDR combined with an integrative approach to provide my clients with lasting relief. EMDR is an Evidence-Based treatment modality, and uses bilateral stimulation to help process and release distressing and traumatic memories. I also have extensive experience working with veterans and first responders, and use a "mission-focused mindset" to help veterans and first responders overcome challenges associated with a variety of mental health issues.

Above all, I believe that we all have a story that needs to be heard. I entered the mental health field after going through therapy myself and understand the importance of being heard by an empathic, objective, and healthy professional.
