Brian Spurling, LPC
About me
I earned a Master of Arts in Counseling from Spring Arbor University in 2017. I am currently an elementary/middle school counselor (since 2018) and bring the insight and experience that comes from working with children in an urban public school setting. Counseling is a holistic and personal experience. In our sessions, I will create a safe environment in which we will explore current experiences, thoughts, and behaviors. We will explore opportunities for change and growth. I will ask you to be an involved participant and will suggest activities and media for you to participate in. You are free to discontinue therapy at any time, but I would like this to be a mutual decision between us. I may choose to discontinue therapy if you get violent, abusive, engage in illegal activity in the office, or if you refuse to participate in therapy. In these cases, I will inform you in a letter or e-mail and will include referrals.
