About me

Life does not go as we expect it will, and that can be truly heartbreaking and disappointing. You are not alone. I'm glad you are here as I know looking for a counselor is a big step. I am a collaborative therapist, meaning I believe you have expertise on yourself and I have expertise on counseling and together we work to reach your goals. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, earning my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University in 2005, and became licensed in the state of Washington in 2008. I have been working with clients in various capacities since 2004 beginning as a therapist on a college campus, working in an agency setting as well as private practice. I have experience working with college students, pre-marital couples, married couples, parents as well as many individuals. I have a great deal of experience working with people through various stages of divorce, as well as those wrestling with anxiety and depression. In addition to being trained as a therapist I am also a Supreme Court certified mediator and have training as a Collaborative Neutral for those working through a collaborative divorce. I truly consider it an honor that you would consider sharing your story with me. I seek to validate what you are going through, and be practical and realistic about expectations and next steps.

Brianne has been such a helpful resource for me. She asks great questions, helps me get to the bottom of my anxieties, and gives me tools for continuing this work throughout my day. She’s very professional, thoughtful, and wise. I highly recommend her!

Brianne is so wonderful. She's thoughtful in all of her responses, she's kind and makes me feel heard. I've been to different therapists throughout my life and Brianne is by far my favourite. I've laughed, cried and learned so much through our sessions. I'm so grateful that I was matched with her, she's been really amazing and my sessions with her have been so helpful for me.

Brianne is such a great listener and helps you map out your thoughts. She asks great questions and the sessions are quite collaborative so you can focus on whatever areas you want to.

When I went into therapy I didn’t know what the rules are or what I should say. So I blurted out all the emotions and blamed everything on everything and everyone. It was good to get some things off my chest. But what I really needed was someone to look through all of that with an open and practical and honest mind. Someone who won’t tell me what I want to hear because we all know what we want but she told me what I needed to hear. Logical solutions to my sense of imbalance with myself and the world. Just a small tip like “go help the children your passionate about.” This made me realise that I was feeling so down over the conditions of the world that I never even realised I was becoming apart of the problem by not creating solutions. Thank you Brianne.
