About Me

Welcome. My name is Brittany Cook and I am a licensed clinical social worker. My approach is primarily cognitive behavioral but I incorporate many other modalities into my practice including dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive processing therapy, mindfulness-based therapy and trauma focused therapies. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma/PTSD and OCD and enjoy being able to help individuals from all walks of life. It is a great privilege to get to know my clients and I learn from them as I help them. Some other areas of expertise include relationship issues, parenting, religious issues, midlife crises, life purpose and fulfillment, communication skills, assertiveness, career issues, women's issues, postpartum depression and stress and anxiety management.

My approach is client-centered , solution-focused and collaborative and focuses in on my client's goals and how those can be achieved. I am easygoing and laid-back and sessions are designed to be as comfortable and easy for my clients as possible. Seeking help is a choice that can change your life forever. I've got complex ptsd. I will need some very thorough therapy. This therapist makes me feel like it's possible to get through all of this.
