Hello, my name is Brittney and I have been working as a Counselor for 7 years now. Areas of particular interest for me are anxiety, self-esteem, women's issues, and life transition and fulfillment. Over the past 7 years, I've had the opportunity to work with clients from all over the world and I have seen people reach their goals and conquer a number of life's issues.

Discovering the creative and unique blend of tools, techniques, and your own untapped potential is how I approach helping you reach your goals. Pulling from solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and acceptance commitment therapy models allows me to utilize evidence-based approaches to therapy. Counseling should be fun, enlightening, empowering, and productive and while the road to healing isn't always easy it is necessary and I am honored to be a part of your journey.

Brittany is a great accountability partner and digs into behavior to find the root cause. She calls me out when I know I'm making excuses and holds me accountable to getting better while being very supportive of the healing process. She assigns things to work on between sessions and checks in via messages too. She's been vital to healing myself.

It has been almost over 9 years since I have been on counseling and at my wit ends, I had to do something for my overall mental health. So I took a chance with betterhelp and on the first day I was paired with Miss Britney King. I enjoy having her as a counselor because she actually listens to me, she makes me feel comfortable talking to her about confidential topics in my life, and she engages in the conversations. She gives me good tips and advice on how to handle my life. She is also very positive, and kind.

I was skeptical before I met her. I was offered 6 free visits by my employer and after those free visits were over, I didn't think I wanted to pay for therapy so I stopped communication abruptly. Brittney continued to keep in touch with me almost daily even though I couldnt respond (because I didnt sign up for payment). That within itself showed me the type of person she was and I decided to continue with my therapy and have yet to regret it. She has help save me from some dark situations and I love the fact that I can reach out to her whenever I need to.

She isn't going to allow you to wallow in your emotional distress or negative behaviors and never give you any solutions or tools to help yourself get into a better space. She is proactive and takes the initiative to suggest helpful techniques or tools that you can apply in your life. She takes the time to understand your goals for therapy, and helps you achieve them!
