Bryant Howard


About Me

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in California. I earned my bachelors degree Sacramento State University and my masters at the University of San Francisco. Most of my experience in mental health is working with people that struggle with anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, and anger. I work in the community in which there is an array of cultures and diverse individuals.

My counseling style is client centered and interactive. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is very important and should be based on trust. A positive therapeutic relationship is key to meeting treatment goals. It is through this bond a therapist is able to challenge, inspire, and promote change. My approach combines humanistic and cognitive-behavioral techniques. Other techniques can be used if there is a need.

Life has so many ups and downs and it can be so difficult to find our way. I am so happy you are here and I am willing to take the journey with you.

Bryant is a wonderful person to talk to. When I first started I had no idea what I really wanted to work on. Obviously I have a lot of issues I needed help with, but I had no idea where to start. Over the last few weeks with Bryant, I've been able to work on some goals for myself, and take actual steps to see them come to light. Bryant has been a great support during some tough times, and talking to him is always a delight because of his warmth and caring nature. I come away after every session feeling better about the decision to talk about things and work on myself, and it doesn't seem to daunting even though it is a lot of work.
