About Me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Lakeland University and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. I work to create a safe, comfortable and accepting environment for my clients. I have previously worked in crisis intervention as well as group therapy settings and like to focus on providing positive support for my clients. I'm not the "typical" therapist type - I have tattoos and a pretty progressive viewpoint, and I also work really hard to be relatable to my clients. I'm married and have a 17 year old stepson. The rest of my family is made up of 2 rescue dogs, 4 adopted cats, and we recently reached what I call the "livestock level" of quarantine and got chickens and goats. It's a pretty full house.
I have worked with adolescents, adults, and couples. I have worked with a wide range of issues, but some of my areas of specialization include: emotional regulation (anger, anxiety), depression, self-esteem building, bipolar disorder, PTSD, grief and loss, assertiveness building, marital issues and relationship building skills. I also have experience with end of life care.
My counseling style is interactive, and I believe in treating people as individuals and not labeling them with their mental health issues. You are not your illness, it is only a small part of who you are. I believe in treating people with the same respect, sensitivity, and compassion as I would like to be treated. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, and solution focused counseling. I will do my best to tailor our conversations and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage to seek support and take steps towards making a change. Life can throw us curveballs and unexpected circumstances can arise with even the best of planning. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support you and help you find the tools that will help you succeed..
I look forward to working with you!

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Candace Delis. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I look forward to my sessions with Candace every week and feel like she really really gets me and listens to me. I feel heard and seen.
Candace has been an amazing help. She has helped me through all of my many challenges I have faced. I am very thankful for her advice.
Candace is proactive and supportive. She actively listens and is engaged! Thank you!
Candace is wonderful! I look forward to talking to her every week and she has made therapy not feel so intimidating - more like talking to a good friend. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
I am very happy with my therapist. I have an unconventional job, and I still feel respected and encouraged. Other therapists I had before at Kaiser would have been judgemental. I don’t feel that at all with her! There are suggestions to help you be mindful and open. You can do live chat, video sessions, and call sessions with her too. She makes time for you and will even book your session for you when you mention your availablity for the following week.
Candace is a very empathetic and compassionate person who genuinely listens. Fantastic advice and methods that make me feel engaged in my own care
Candace is an amazing therapist. Her personal and professional experience with her compassion and honesty has made an incredible difference in my life. She’s provided me with more resources and support than any “in-person” therapist has ever has.
I just got started with Candace, but I have already found my time with her invaluable! She is a great support. I feel I am off to a good start on focusing on my goals and getting myself back on track.
Thanks so much for being my therapist! I have really enjoyed working with Candace and appreciate all the work that she puts in for me and other clients. I'm super grateful for all of the tools she gave me to set myself up for success. I feel so much more confident and at ease with myself and with my whole environment around me. I am proud of myself! So grateful for her help.
Candace is great and is very helpful for working through issues with anxiety.
I enjoy the worksheets. Since I have various issues affecting me simultaneously, she's been very good about addressing as much as possible, while focusing on the main overarching issues
Candace is awesome. She knows what I am working on and what brought me to Better Help. She gives me tons of strategies that I can try them and narrow things down to what works best for me and what I can do consistently.
Candace is fantastic and her empathy shines through in our sessions
Great 10 out of 10
She’s the best.
I’ve already told a ton of people I work with about the site! I can’t stop talking about how much it has helped me through and how great it is!
Kind considerate and listens!
Candace from the very beginning has made me feel comfortable. She has responded to me every chance she gets. She also reminds me that she is an actual person and so it really helps with being able to trust her. She gets me and understands what I need. She checks on me all the time. She is truly a wonderful person. She is highly recommended.
Candace is great. I was not sure what to expect from therapy having not seen a therapist since I was child. She is someone I feel comfortable opening up about the issues I am facing in my life as well as just being a fun and down to earth person I can talk to about day to day things. There are many tools she has given me to help process and understand my situation that have been helpful as well. Just knowing she will be there for whatever will come my way has given me a renewed sense of peace. Thank you Candace.
