During 14 years as a therapist, I have enjoyed helping families and individuals improve emotions, thinking patterns and relationships to live more fulfilled lives. My training (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Multisystemic Therapy, etc) has provided me the opportunity to work with a host of problems, including parenting, conflict resolution, relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and work related issues. I enjoy working from a systemic approach to explore all aspects of a person's life, and this greatly increases the likelihood of success for the individuals and families I counsel. My therapy approach is supportive, yet directive. I see you as the expert and I am here to assist you with the tools you need along the way. This means, I will provide you with a caring environment to be open and expressive, I will ask you questions to help understand more about you, and I will use a variety of techniques to help you decide the best course of action that you would like to take for the circumstances impacting your journey.
Let me tell you a little about myself! My husband I have been married for 20 years and I consider him my best friend and supporter! We have two great kids, ages 9 and 14, who keep us rather busy with all of their activities and the animals they have encouraged use to love (Cash - our Wire-Haired Pointing Griffon and Willow and Blossom - our two Guinea Pigs). My greatest enjoyment in life is loving others, whether it is through spending time with my family or helping the people I work with.

I feel Candace really cares and that is important to me.
Candace and I have been chatting a short while. She has aided me in itemizing issues. Makes sure to respond to all topics I bring up, and sometimes suggests courses of action to consider. I'm very stubborn, yet dont REALLY know what I need, cause i kinda know, but I'm not really sure most the times.
I’ve only been talking with Candace for a couple months but I can honestly say it’s been a life saver. I was an anxious wreck before talking to her, but she helps me rationalize and organize my thoughts. I talk to her about work and home life stressors and she always has great useful advice.
She’s a great listener and gives great feedback and different options to make therapy work for me. I appreciate her and everything she’s done for me.
This is my first time seeking therapy and I was certainly a bit nervous. Talking to Candace feels like I’m taking to a lifelong friend that has my best interest in mind. Felt very comfortable right of the bat and it allowed me to be very open with her. I received a bunch of great tips on how to work on the issues I’m having with this pandemic and I’m grateful that a service like this exists.
Candace does a great job listening and being empathetic to each situation. Candace has a wide expertise and is wise in giving advice and letting me share when I need and want to. I highly recommend her for your counselor.
Candace is awesome. I could go on forever but I’ll let you (others seeking counseling) decide. I think she’ll be in my mind as long as I have the ability to remember.
I haven't been with her for too long but she has already helped me drastically.
She been totally amazing and willing to be helpful. She listens and does her best to respond to you as soon as she can. She is very thoughtful with her responses and willing to see things from your point of view without any judgment. I would definitely recommend her.
Thank you for listening to me and helping me.
Candace is very down to earth and easy to talk to. I feel like she really cares and take a lot of time to think about what she is saying when we are on the phone as well as how she responds to my questions that I send to her.
Candace has been more than helpful!
I'm happy that I have someone very supportive and helping me build up as a person.
Candace has been a huge help. She is very quick to respond, which I greatly appreciate. She even scheduled a last minute phone call with me when I needed help the most; taking time out of her outside scheduled hours. I feel she truly cares about helping me and I recommend her to anyone. Her advice has been very valuable. I look forward to working with her more. Thank you so much, Candace!
Candace Newland has been able to identify some key issues for me within just a few interactions. I can tell that she really listens to what I have to say even though it is in a written format. I am grateful I have this avenue of counseling given my busy schedule at the moment.
Candace has been understanding and supportive of me and my concerns.
Candace Newland did an amazing job helping me through the struggles of being a step-dad, and adapting to my new responsibilities. I have difficulty asking for help since my wife has so much on her plate, but Candace showed me ways to better communicate with my wife as well as my step children. I fully recommend Candace, and in the future, should I require more assistance, will be seeking her out! Thanks for everything!
