About me

Hello! My name is Candida Wiltshire and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of New Jersey, Rhode Island and South Carolina. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and my Master of Social Work from Monmouth University. I work with individuals who have a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression and issues related to identity and self-esteem. I combine various therapeutic approaches to meet the needs of every individual, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy and client-centered therapy. Being a woman of color, I understand the stigma of mental health within the minority community and the necessity of services to address complex trauma. I believe that our work together should be guided by your comfort level and I will be with you along your journey to wholeness.

Life can be overwhelming and challenging. My goal is to provide a safe space where individuals can develop practical solutions and tools for life. Taking the first step and reaching out for help demonstrates a strength within yourself that you can build upon. Together, we will identify areas of weakness and through exploration find healthy solutions to your problems. I believe in you; it’s time for you believe in you too.

I look forward to speaking with you soon.

Candida is wise, gracious, and supportive. She listens and asks questions that allow you to see areas for growth and rethinking. She is someone you feel comfortable opening up to. She also provides great Biblical counsel if you are looking for a Christian therapist.

Candida is a compassionate and wise person! As you can see I referred to her as a person and not a therapist, because she is genuine, authentic and humanistic individual and those characteristics and traits are not easy to find! Candida you are amazing and keep up the great work that you do! Thank you so much! You have and continually been great support system for me! Peace and Blessings!

Candida is extraordinary at recognizing patterns in my thinking and connecting the dots I didn’t see before. She’s adaptable, considerate, incredibly supportive and enjoyable to talk with. I am very lucky to have her in network of support and I hope everyone gets a counselor like her!
