About Me

Hello! My name is Candida Wiltshire and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of New Jersey and South Carolina LISW-CP. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and my Master of Social Work from Monmouth University. I work with individuals with a variety of concerns including depression, mood disorders, and issues related to identity and self-esteem. I combine various therapeutic approaches to meet the needs of every individual, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy and client-centered therapy. Being a woman of color, I understand the stigma of mental health within the minority community and the necessity of services to address complex trauma.
Life can be overwhelming and challenging. My goal is to provide a safe space where individuals can develop practical solutions and tools for life. Taking the first step and reaching out for help demonstrates a strength within yourself that you can build upon. Together, we will identify areas of weakness and through exploration find healthy solutions to your problems. I believe in you; it’s time for you believe in you too.
I look forward to speaking with you soon.

I have only been working with Candida for 3 weeks, but I already want to commend her ability as a counselor. This is my first experience with therapy and she has been encouraging, welcoming, and compassionate as I embark on this journey to better my mental health. I applaud her empathy as a woman and her empowering nature as a counselor. I am excited to continue to work through my issues with Candida by my side, because she makes me feel like I can overcome them. I highly recommend her!
