About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in a wide range of settings. My goal is to meet you where you are and assist you, the expert, in finding meaningful solutions.

I believe in providing an honest and direct approach in working with clients. I have extensive knowledge and experience working with clients who have been exposed to various types of trauma including mental, physical, and sexual abuse. I also have experience working with individuals who suffer from depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, grief and loss, personality disorders, stress management, addictions and recovery, conflict resolution, work and career issues, behavioral issues, and parenting challenges. My primary approach is solution-focused and strengths-based, using cognitive-behavioral interventions (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I am also certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT).

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Carrie Kinder. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Carrie is an unbelievable listener. There's a difference with being engaged and truly actively listening vs. listening to respond. She is very calm, provides feedback and really gets to know YOU and what will work for you. She suggests different avenues to take aside from only therapy sessions with her (I.E. groups, journaling, homework, etc). I have put off therapy for a long time & am so glad made the decision to start! It's never too late!

This is my first time seeing a therapist. I had to go through a couple of the Better Help therapists to find one that fits and clicks. Carrie Kinder has supported, questioned and guided me through a very difficult situation starting today 11 weeks ago. We continued to grow and learn together. She is absolutely a wonderful therapist and I am so lucky to have found her. My life is better with our talks and I cannot wait for the 11 weeks to come with our sessions.
