About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Alabama with over 16 years of experience. I have experience working with adults, adolescents, and children as well as couples and families. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, parenting problems, and ADHD. I have also helped many people who have experienced trauma or emotional abuse.

My counseling style is laid back and interactive as I believe in treating everyone with respect and compassion. I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines strength-based, cognitive-behavioral, and solution-focused counseling. I will tailor your treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. My approach is to help individuals achieve their goals by identifying their strengths and what coping skills can be the most beneficial.

I work very hard to ensure that every person feels safe and comfortable in each session. Counseling continues to have a stigma that doesn't allow everyone to feel free to talk about their thoughts and feelings. My hope is that you can feel empowered and more in control of your situation.

You have taken the first step in becoming a healthier and happier person and I look forward to helping you in anyway I can!

Excellent at her job. She was so understanding and supportive for me. Truly a down to earth Person and easy to talk too and she listens. Highly recommend her for anyone.

Carrie is a very positive counselor! She helps me see the silver linings and lets me know I’m not alone. My mood and my anxiety are calmed when I’m shown that everything is doable with small baby steps or one bite at a time. She is like my personal cheerleader who really believes in me!

She listens and is quick to respond; I love that I can share my journal entries automatically so there is less for me to explain in our weekly calls. She’s compassionate and supportive and very patient with me.
