About me

My name is Carrie Sorenson and I have a Master's of Professional Studies degree from the University of Minnesota. I currently have been working in the field of addiction and mental health now for 4 years. The core of my work, as a licensed alcohol and drug counselor and a licensed professional clinical counselor is focused on the belief that all of my clients are human beings who fundamentally are good. Human beings who have had diverse experiences throughout their lives, which have shaped the way they perceive and engage in the world around them. I therefore, believe that each individual comes with their own unique experiences and perspectives, which is why I value the importance of providing an individual approach to therapy.

2 Sessions with Carrie. I am very comfortable with her, she listens and engages when appropriate. Carrie has given me tools, i.e. worksheets to use and referrals for books to read that help in my process. I am comfortable with Carrie and with Betterhelp and the journey I am taking with both. So far a great investment in my future

Carrie is patient and kind. She seems to listen when she hears me. I feel validated and also see her giving constructive advice about how we can work on me. I feel calmer and more confident about my days. They have been easier to navigate. I appreciate small exercises she gives me to apply healthy principles into my daily living. I am grateful for Carrie
