Carter Jones, LMSW
About me
Everyone already has the map to their destination, and I’m here to help with directions. We’ll work together to determine which tools and approaches are best suited to your unique circumstances, outlook, and style of thinking. Before working as a therapist, I spent seven years in a nursing home and sub-acute rehab setting. This experience has given me a strong working knowledge of mental health medications and common chronic medical conditions and the challenges they bring. I’ve also enjoyed working in after school programs and especially connect with grade schoolers and teens who are navigating struggles in school or in life.
My therapeutic style is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. My areas of focus include mood and anxiety disorders, self-esteem issues, impulse control disorders, and substance use/addiction concerns. I also have expertise working with those suffering from caregiver burnout and compassion fatigue.
The relationship is the most important part of the process, so I strive to be approachable and unconditionally supportive. When the time is right, I bring a bit of humor to our work. I would love the opportunity to get to know you better!

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Carter Jones. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I have been working with Carter for the past 7–8 months and have greatly valued the way he approaches therapy. He is not afraid to challenge me when appropriate, but always does so with thoughtfulness and respect.
What sets him apart is his ability to be genuinely present in the work. Rather than remaining distant or purely clinical, he brings a level of emotional attunement that is uncommon in therapy. For my personal journey, that depth of engagement has been essential.
I would highly recommend Carter, particularly for individuals who benefit from a therapist who balances insight, honesty, and meaningful human connection.
