Life is a journey and we are continually changing and hopefully growing. The most important component of therapy is the ability to develop a trusting and therapeutic relationship between client and therapist. Asking for help can be hard, but my approach is compassionate, warm and non-judgmental. We all have unique stories and I am interested in hearing yours and working with you to identify areas in which you are struggling and would like to improve. I would love to assist you in identifying the roadblocks you face that prevent you from living a fulfilling life and help you learn the skills necessary to bring about desired changes.
I will be actively engaged in our therapy sessions and draw upon a variety of therapeutic theories and techniques to tailor an approach to fit your needs. I believe it's important to set attainable goals and measure progress on a regular basis. Mindfulness is frequently part of my practice.
Working collaboratively, I will help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, think more positively, identify your strengths, and make healthier choices and decisions. My experience includes working with adults, teens and couples on issues including anxiety, depression, bereavement, stress management and adjustment to change.
