About Me
Hello! If you are exploring Better Help, it is likely that you are struggling with something significant in your life. Finding the right person to help you through these challenges is very important. If you don't have a good relationship with your counselor, you won't make the progress you are hoping to achieve. I want to provide you with some information about me in order to help you decide if my experience and style is the right match for you.
I have been a social worker for more than 12 years and have experience working with people from all different backgrounds who are struggling with a wide variety of challenges. Much of my experience has been working with people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, substance abuse, and the challenges of parenting. The feedback I receive from clients is that they find me to be caring and nonjudgmental, and they appreciate that I am honest and direct with them. You can expect me to walk with you through whatever difficulties you are facing and help you learn more about yourself and the way you interact with the world.
I can interact with you in whatever manner you are most comfortable. I find it helpful to participate in video sessions so that we can get to know each other better. But I am also available to you via phone and text if that is more comfortable for you. A majority of my availability is in the evenings and on the weekends but I check messages at least once during each weekday.
I know how hard it can be to find a counselor who you feel a connection with and I would be honored to work with you through this stage of your life.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Cassandra Aamodt. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
She’s the best
Cassandra has been extremely supportive and encouraging, employing a variety of CBT-based methods and frameworks to help me challenge distorted thinking and negative self-talk. She is able to gently, and at times with genuine humor, challenge me to reconsider my attitude or approach to a situation. And her wealth of experience supporting families of various configurations, folks with a history of trauma, and LGBTQAI folks allows her to make helpful recommendations and resources. I’m very grateful BetterHelp linked me up with her.
I feel incredibly lucky to have been paired with Cassandra. She’s always made herself available and is empathetic, caring, and supportive in a non judgmental way while always keeping me honest.
Ms. Aamodt has been invaluable to me. She isolates the issues I am dealing with and helps me sort them out in a productive way. While I was initially skeptical about BetterHelp, she has convinced me that remote therapy can work.
Amazing!
Cassandra has been such a blessing to me, I really appreciate the time she took in listening and talking with me. Even if I don't respond, she still actively messages and checks in on me. She is an amazing human being and I am grateful for her for that!
Cassandra is an excellent counsellor, with a lot of intuition and expertise. She was able to understand a lot about me and my issues almost immediately - which was impressive and super helpful. I highly recommend Cassandra, especially for her responsiveness and out of the box thinking and understanding.
