Dr. Cassandra Guerrero, LPC
About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing in the state of Georgia for over 9 years. I have been a military dependent for 39 years. This experience has allowed me to assist military members and their families in resolving the challenges related to deployments, such as reintegration back into their families and the stress the non-members experience. I also have worked with clients who have been diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness. I will collaborate with you to assist with learning coping skills and problem-solving skills, which will guide your journey. I have also worked with clients with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, family conflict, relationship issues, parenting challenges, racial trauma, emotional and sexual abuse, and co-occurring disorders.
I offer a no-judgment approach. I provide a space where active listening, respect, and compassion are given. I use cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and the person-centered approach. I collaborate with you to develop a plan that will assist with the specific needs and challenges you are experiencing. Taking this important step to improve your overall sense of wellbeing can be overwhelming; however, if you are motivated to change, let me help you with this journey.
I look forward to working with you.

Mrs. Guerrero is the reason why I recommend BetterHelp to everyone. I wish everyone could have a therapist like her! Although I don’t wish to share, she is the best therapist I’ve had in 28 years. She’s kind, nonjudgmental, intelligent, and attentive.

Honestly, I feel as though I got really lucky! I have never been to therapy before and I have heard of people going through many before they find someone they feel comfortable with. With that being said, I instantly felt safe and understood. She communicates well with me and is very understanding and perceptive. She also has a great sense of humor, so for those of you who are nervous and on edge, speaking to her will come naturally. Cassandra also has really good insights. I hope to continue being her client and I dread the day that I no longer need her guidance. She’s so amazing words cannot express! I hope this helps.
