About me

Hello! My name is Cecily and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Tennessee and a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida. I have seven years experience working in the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of settings including community mental health, outpatient, in-home, addictions, adoptions, and private practice. Simply put, I have had experience working with a variety of clinical issues. I have the most experience working with anxiety, depression, postpartum concerns, life transitions, career counseling, and complex trauma/abuse.

I use a person-centered, holistic, multicultural, and integrative approach in treatment. This means I believe in meeting you where you are and customizing treatment to fit your needs. Being empathetic and understanding about how your individual cultural identities and lifestyle choices impact your experience, I will use evidence based techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused counseling to help you along the way.

I would describe my style as compassionate and supportive. I am ready to meet you where you are and address any struggle struggle that you may be facing. Collaboration is important - together we can work on establishing concrete goals and steps to help you overcome your current problems. I believe in taking the time and working on wellness slowly, holistically, and consistently. Just as physical health takes time and consistency, so does mental health. I look forward to helping you in any way I can!

Please be advised I am currently available to provide services to female clients. I apologize for any inconvenience this may create. Thank you again for taking time in learning more about me.

Love her as my therapist! She knows how to listen and relate . It also feels like she’s my friend at times the way she makes you feel so comfortable from day 1 .

Cecily is great. She does mor than just talk therapy. She listens and responds with things I might have missed and provides opportunity to grow and learn for the next experience.

I’m quite an introspective person so I wasn’t too sure what more counselling would do for me, but I knew I wanted support to work through a number of things. After switching counsellors I’m so glad I landed with Cecily. I have truly benefited and grown from my sessions with Cecily, I appreciate her open style and approach to counselling. Would definitely recommend her to my sisters and friends. She truly listens, meets you where you are at and guides you to think through things in a real way.

Cecily is a wonderful, compassionate, and caring counselor. She works with you to get to the root of your issues, and pushes you to challenge yourself with your thinking and reasoning for your behaviors. She has been a tremendous help to me, even in our short time working together. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needed counseling.

Shes been fantastic! Keeps it honest and straightforward. And she gets down to the nit and gritty of everything. She actually wants to help you move forward and figure things out.
